This baby is quite a stunner. I have refreshed it with Miss Mustard Seed’s milk paint in a bespoke color of 50/50 Bergere and Ironstone. It made the most wonderful pale blue. I kept the inside and the legs natural and simply hemp oiled them. I absolutely love the contrast of the old and new. This piece chipped perfectly using the milk paint. This is a natural reaction of the paint on the surface. We think it pairs well with the piece and shows natural aging. Of course if you don’t like the authentic look of chipping it may not be for you. It offers two fixed shelves inside with plate grooves and one large cubby underneath. It does have the original key. These special pieces are getting so hard to find these days.
